X-change on WAN Performance and Governance
| Date: | 24/05/2012 | | Time: | 13:30 | | Location: | Roularta |
Looking back over 36 months of evolution in WAN optimisation, no one can ignore its market maturity, nor the presence of a dozen relevant brands! Overall, BELTUG has highlighted more than 10 cases in this domain.
But the WAN as we know it today must continue to evolve: networks have to become smart, flexible and autonomous. Any WAN remains a moving target: new applications, new sites, changes in user behaviour, and more … all impact its performance. These changes are occurring more and more quickly, while the environment is increasingly complex to manage.
During this X-change, BELTUG will focus on three pertinent topics:
- Is WAN optimisation a tool, a temporary solution or a technology that is here to stay?
- What can be done in the WAN to make the QoS more effectively controllable?
- How can we make the WAN smarter?
Plus, in a true-life Case Study, bpost will illustrate the results of its efforts to reduce complexity and lower costs without causing severe performance degradation in the applications
