Help us to bring down the fixed-to-mobile tariffs
Help BELTUG to bring down the fixed-to-mobile tariffs For years companies and public services complain about the high costs for calls from fixed to mobile networks (F2M). These tariffs are high because of the high mobile termination rates (= the rates mobile operators charge to terminate calls on their networks). The regulator BIPT imposed a decrease of these rates in 2008. This means that all operators pay less for calls to Base, Mobistar and Proximus, and setup costs have been abolished. All costs are now time-based per second from the first second. BELTUG wants to know whether the fixed operators pass the changes to you. Your input will help us in our lobby work and discussions with the telecom operators. The results will be published in January. | |
