Belgacom plies SME market with IT services
Belgacom will offer – in co-operation with local IT sellers – a whole array of ICT services to SMEs and the self-employed (a gigantic market, according to Danielle Jacobs, director of BELTUG). Today, this SME market (enterprises with maximum 200 employees) represents a turnover of € 1.5 billion for Belgacom, mainly fixed-line and mobile telephone products and services. Belgacom expects to sign partnerships with 250 IT agents and create an entirely new sales channel. According to Michel De Coster, in charge of business customers at Belgacom, the time has come to invest massively in cloud computing and Belgacom plans to offer services at a flat fee.
