More independent BIPT should get more funding

BELTUG expects the BIPT to live up to its ambitions as regulator. That is why the BIPT should become more independent and get more financial means. However, BELTUG thinks the proposed duration of its planning (until 2013) is too short. Moreover, the BIPT should strike a delicate balance between stimulating Belgacom’s investments on the one hand and creating true opportunities for other operators. BELTUG expects the BIPT to remove all obstacles hampering business users.
