Half of ICT managers concerned about vendor lock-in
BELTUG’s latest survey among 70 ICT managers reveals that they are concerned about getting more confined to a single supplier. About 47% are afraid of a vendor lock-in by suppliers such as HP, Cisco, IBM or Microsoft. Anyway, Belgian ICT managers are rather loyal to suppliers. Those that sent a request for proposal last year, at least 61% remained with their known supplier. One in three was disappointed by the few proposals received. About half of respondents received only one or maximum two answers – a situation most to the advantage of Belgacom. Helft ict-managers vreest 'vendor lock-in'
