| -Case Study UZ Leuven: The digital hospital: reality or fiction? At UZ Leuven, all the processes are digitalised and integrated with each other. This Case Study will illustrate the challenges of the digital hospital using some recent projects as examples: - MyUZ: a secured communication channel between patient and hospital with personalised information about their illness and treatments, appointments and administration. It also includes an important interactive part (diaries, pain registrations, etc.)
- Nexuz Health: goes beyond the hospital’s borders
- Bedside terminals: terminals are used by both the patient (TV, telephone, internet, etc.) but also by the nurses and doctors.
- How we deal with external devices (iPhones, iPads, Android phones, etc.) on our corporate network.
