| 2. BELTUG Memorandum for the Government |
BELTUG published a Memorandum for the new Government. It is available for everybody in Dutch and French (11 p.).
Our most important wishes regarding government policy: - to make ICT a national priority (and create a dedicated ICT Ministerial post) - to make sure the new European regulations are translated into Belgian law ASAP. - to ensure the autonomy and efficiency of the BIPT. - to sell the goverment’s majority shareholding in Belgacom - to ensure number portability for all services, including VOIP. - to balance the regulatory environment for fixed and mobile operators - to stimulate development and innovation in the converging fixed/mobile market.
