Launching the Beltug AI track: AI ethics in practice
AI and governance now sit at the top of the CIO’s agenda. In the Beltug Priorities Compass 2026, the three highest-ranking priorities were all AI-related, and specifically touched on AI ethics, governance and compliance. But translating these principles into concrete policies, workflows and decisions remains a challenge.

To launch the new AI Debate Room track, we invite members to an interactive roundtable discussion on the practical realities of AI ethics, governance and compliance. Together, we will explore how organisations are approaching responsible AI, which principles matter most in practice, and how ethical considerations can be embedded into governance frameworks and operational workflows. Following an expert introduction by Dr. Jens Meijen from Umaniq, participants will exchange experiences, challenges and lessons learned with peers from other organisations.
The AI Debate Room track
These invitations are sent to organisations participating in the AI track. The AI track is one of Beltug’s Debate Room initiatives: a recurring series of small-scale, interactive sessions where members explore a topic in greater depth. The AI track focuses on the organisational, governance, risk, compliance and business challenges surrounding AI adoption. Participation is not limited to specialists: eligible members are welcome to join based on their interest in the topic and the challenges they are facing in their own organisation. If there are other colleagues within your organisation who would like to join the discussion and contribute their perspective, feel free to forward this invitation.
Participation is reserved for end-user organisations and discussions take place under the Chatham House Rule, creating a trusted environment for candid conversations and peer exchange.
For more information about the AI track, you can check out the AI track charter, which outlines the confidentiality rules and participation guidelines.
