In this Debate Room, we will exchange insights into practical ways to guarantee the quality of software and systems. First, get inspired by how Fluvius puts the ISO standard to work for the organisation. Then share your experiences, challenges and solutions: are you testing application ease of use and visual correctness manually, or have you (partially) automated the testing? Have you found a way to ensure fast enough testing to avoid bottlenecks? Etc…

Welcome and introduction

User story: Fluvius’s approach to guaranteeing software quality.

The merger of Flemish grid companies Infrax and Eandis to form Fluvius triggered many new ICT projects. Together with the demand for new applications to support the energy transition and the use of smart meter data, this led to a large increase in the number of developers in the ICT department. Faster delivery, keeping up with current today’s usability standards, performance, security and other quality aspects are all day-to-day challenges for the team. In this presentation, we’ll discover several aspects of Fluvius’ quality approach, and hear about the achievements so far, and the hurdles ahead.
