The benefits of electronic archiving speak for themselves: organisations save physical space by replacing paper records with digital files, electronic archives are easier to search, and data can be better protected from loss and damage.
When the EU’s eIDAS regulation (on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the EU) was transposed in Belgium, the Belgian law added e-Archiving services to the list of trust services (it was not included in the eIDAS). With a certification scheme for TSPs now available, we are ready for the next step.
Let’s take a look at what the coming months will bring, as companies in Belgium can start on the road to trustworthy and reliable e-Archiving services. In this session, we’ll hear from both supervisory authority FPS Economy and auditor KPMG, to discover what Qualified Electronic Archiving is, when it is needed, and how providers can become certified.
