So, are these two irreconcilable, or can we find a way to deliver both? Must architectural robustness limit what service delivery teams can do? There are a lot of elements that can play a role in answering those questions. Some of the things to consider include: business-led IT, data governance, desired service delivery speed, legacy technology, and the choice between starting fresh or investing in redeveloping existing tools.

In this session, we have a look at these topics, and more: two organisations will take us through their real-life user stories. First, we’ll hear from Liantis about the challenges of developing an architecture that meets all of the requirements of a digital transformation. Then, Daikin will share their large-scale migration to SAP S/4HANA.

(in Dutch) User story: Liantis architectural runway

In 2018, Liantis was established from the merger of several HR companies in order to offer an integrated approach for business owners and or employers. From starting out, to hiring, to retirement, and everything in-between. This new business model required a digital transformation, and Liantis had to confront some challenging questions:

  1. How do you move towards a product-focused organisation?
  2. How do you empower fusion teams to embrace architecture and agility in a balanced way?
  3. How do you deal with evolving customer demands with legacy platforms?

Nicolas Van Kerschaver, Directeur Digitalisering, and Tom Samyn, Enterprise Architect Manager, Liantis
