GUBERNA is a knowledge centre that aims to boost good governance in all organisations. It believes that ‘good governance leads to better organisations and that better organisations contribute to a better world’. Part of achieving this goal is promoting and providing lifelong learning opportunities that support directors and company managers in their professional development. Leaders who complete training courses focusing on the transfer of good governance competences can become a GUBERNA Certified Director.

GUBERNA Certified Director

One requirement for Certified Directors is to earn continuing education points by regularly updating their knowledge, skills and exchange of good governance practices. In addition to participation in various GUBERNA initiatives, attending certain events organised by Befriended Organisations, such as Beltug, can also count towards meeting the criteria.

At the start of each Beltug activity year in September, GUBERNA reviews our planned initiatives and decides which meet its requirements for permanent education around good governance practices. For these events, we indicate in the invitation and registration form how many points are granted for participation by a GUBERNA Certified Director.

If you are not a GUBERNA Certified Director yourself, you can play a part in strengthening the alignment between CIOs and CEO/Board by passing the invitation to a colleague who is, so they can attend.

Keep an eye on our invitations and on our agenda page, to be informed about the upcoming Beltug events that qualify for GUB points.
