Software robots: taking the first steps (X-change)

Location:Roularta Conference Centre, Zellik

The robots are coming! Software robots, that is:  in applications, contact centres, and more. In the face of this new technology and its opportunities, companies need to know how to get started. And IT managers need a clear vision of their role in this revolution. It’s a brave, new world, and nobody has much experience yet. At the same time, artificial intelligence is still immature, and mostly being brokered by the tech giants.

So how do you get started? What do you need to consider? What are your first steps towards this new world?  In this X-change, we will first hear about a real application where software robots can make a difference for companies: monitoring business processes. Then, we will learn from experiences with the real case of Belfius, from expert Edle Everaert of Accenture and Emmanuel Smoos of Belfius. Finally, we will discuss your questions and concerns in an interactive roundtable.

Please note that in order to guarantee an interactive discussion, we are keeping the number of attendees limited, so be sure to book your spot in time.

14:15 Robots to the rescue to monitor your business

Traditional monitoring systems are good for identifying incoming alerts, and provide a clear insight into the health status of the individual IT systems. But an IT infrastructure contains many different components, and we need to know if the business is running correctly and all processes work.

In this eye-opening talk, Ulrik Van Schepdael will present how software robots enable such ‘business monitoring’ and enterprise mobility management, with a focus on mobile.
