Cyber defence and your 360 security perimeter (X-change)

Location:Living Tomorrow, Vilvoorde

Fighting off cyberattacks and hacking threats seems to have become an ongoing battle. You obviously need to secure your infrastructure, network and devices: the challenge is how?

In this session, we’ll have a look at a few of the aspects, including the issues surrounding mobile devices, and how the government can support us in our defence. Plus, we will hear from KBC about how to onboard staff (often your most vulnerable link) into the battle.

Please note that in order to guarantee an interactive discussion, we are keeping the number of attendees limited, so be sure to book your spot in time.

15:30 Ready for conflict – the new EU cyber defence strategy

The need for cybersecurity has never been greater, but cyber threats are also growing. We face some very fundamental debates: can we buy 5G equipment from China? Can our voting process resist outside attacks? Is data being stolen or manipulated through social media in order to steer elections?  The EU’s new cybersecurity strategy, including a brand-new Cybersecurity Act, creates a permanent Agency for information security. It also requires new preparatory measures in the Member States, new security investments, cyber incident handling and cyber war exercises, and a new push for security certification of electronic devices and services. We’ll examine the strengths and weaknesses of this plan, and its expected impact on Europe’s security industry.
