While IPv6 is important, it should not be a major concern for businesses at this time. This was the conclusion of BELTUG in its presentation on the point of view of business users regarding IPv6 at a conference organised by the Federal Public Service Economy (FOD/SPF Economie) on 8 October.
Companies need to be made aware of the issues and prepare, but there is no need for alarmist communications, such as “If you don’t act now it will be too late". Organisations should be getting ready with training, carryig out inventories, etc., but the situation is not at the boiling point.
