BELTUG is taking its representation of its members - business users of ICT - to new heights. Firstly, we have been selected for a seat in the “Digital Minds” of Alexander De Croo,Minister of Digital Agenda. His overall goal is to stimulate the digital economy of Belgium, supported by a real digital agenda. BELTUG General Manager Danielle Jacobs will speak for the business users, joined on the committee by some 20 high-level participants from technology companies, universities, investors and opinion leaders. BELTUG has also been asked to join the Privacy Platform of Secretary of State for Privacy Bart Tommelein. This committee includes representatives of associations like Febelfin, Comeos, Agoria, Testaankoop, VBO/FEB, Unizo,.. and the Privacy Commission,. The platform will meet regularly to discuss and develop its 5-year action points, such as the Internet of Things, optimising the procedure in the case of data leakage and reforming the legal framework.
