BELTUG has put together a new Position on guest Wi-Fi, following the call for a consultation by the BIPT. The consultation by the BIPT covers offering Wi-Fi in the public domain, and is intended for operators. However, as the BIPT may decide afterwards to impose obligations regarding offering Wi-Fi in the private domain, Beltug has prepared a position specifically addressing Wi-Fi in the private domain.
Overall, BELTUG believes that a very liberal approach for offering Wi-Fi in the private domain is key, and that no disproportionate restrictions should be imposed.
The Position is available in Dutch only.
