BELTUG participates in government e-commerce platform

Ministers Borsus (Minister for the Economy, SMEs and Self-Employed), De Croo (Vice Prime Minister, Development Cooperation, Digital Agenda, and Telecom) and Peeters (Minister of Economics, Employment and Transport) have launched an e-commerce platform.

Participating in the launch meeting on 5 May 2015, BELTUG agreed to take part in two of the five workgroups being set up: ‘money matters’ – which concerns payment services and taxation - and ‘internationality’ - which addresses the international aspects of e-commerce and how to attract foreign players to Belgium. The other workgroups are 'regulatory barriers', 'flexibility' and 'support'.

We will keep you informed of any updates and progress for the platform and the workgroups.
