BELTUG has long pleaded for the mobile roaming charges to be abolished in the EU28. Recent decisions on roaming regulations mean costs should gradually decrease starting in May 2016. By 15 June 2017 traveling users should be able to communicate at domestic prices, anywhere in EU28.
BELTUG organised a session to discuss the consequences with its members, together with mobile operators. The operators confirmed that existing contracts will benefit from the decreased pricing, without needing to be renegotiated, and without action from the customer's side. However, BELTUG recommends that you inform your employees who travel about the changes.
