RNR: Beltug to liaise between business and government on practical access

The Belgian government is preparing legislation that will change the use of the national registry number (RNR) in IT systems, for specific types of companies. The law will enable these companies to access RNR information to make sure their systems are identifying the correct person.

Organising the implementation will be critical to its success. Beltug has been meeting with the Cabinets of Privacy Minister Philippe De Backer and Minister of the Interior Jan Jambon, and will provide practical input on how to organise the exchanges between businesses and the government, in order to make them as efficient as possible for both parties.
