Beltug and GUBERNA combine expertise to accelerate the digitisation of organisations

Date:11/03/2021

‘Digital doesn’t live on an island’, and over the past few years, companies have been acting on this maxim. Digital is being discussed at all levels – including the Board, while CIOs have a firm spot around the management table. And digital projects are increasingly driven by cross-disciplinary teams that include marketing, HR, finance and more.

To support our members in this digital journey, we are very pleased that, Beltug has become a 'Befriended Organisation' with GUBERNA, the Belgian Institute for Administrators. This partnership will combine GUBERNA's governance expertise with Beltug's digital knowledge.

The voice of the user, brought to the Board level

What does this mean for our members? By representing the voice of the user – CIOs and ICT business users – Beltug can provide valuable information for GUBERNA’s initiatives aimed at improving the digital vigilance of the Board of Directors. A digital-savvy Board can support or even accelerate the organisation’s digitisation.

Conversely, GUBERNA can share information with Beltug members about the Board perspective, and how to bring them the essential messages to get your digital transformation flowing.

eLearning course on Information Security for board members

As our first joint initiative, Beltug and GUBERNA have collaborated to create an eLearning course on Information Security, intended for (aspiring) directors, executives and professionals. It provides insight and tips & tricks on how to deal with Information Security policies.

The initiative came out of the template we published in 2020 with recommendations on how to present security topics to your board. This January, our CEO, Danielle Jacobs, and our chairman, Claude Rapoport, recorded the eLearning videos.

The course will be available as of 29 March, at a price of € 450 per person (ex VAT).  The course takes a total 6 hours, and you can follow it at your own pace. Once started, you have access for 1 year to both follow the course and to review any of the elements you like.
