As of 1 January 2026, Belgium will mandate the use of eBilling for B2B transactions. The invoices must be issued in a structured electronic format that allows for automated processing, using the Peppol network. This special session of the Beltug Vendor Observatory focused on the upcoming requirement, giving the participants the possibility to exchange experiences and questions in this specific domain.

Beltug has received a number of questions from members about the impact of this obligation. Delaware set the scene, while Leadout shared insights from a case involving the roll-out of a global ERP. Then, we discussed members’ concerns and questions, as well as whether Beltug should communicate specific messages to the government and/or suppliers.
The Beltug Vendor Observatory provides a dedicated space to address the challenges and evolving dynamics in vendor management. While it is usually open only to business users, for this Beltug Vendor Observatory session all Beltug members were invited.
