The recent and successful cyberattack on the City of Antwerp may have brought cyber criminality to the attention of mainstream media, but for many Beltug members, of course, the event and its aftermath didn’t really come as a surprise. You might, however, be surprised to learn that Belgium is actually leading the prestigious international BitSight cyber security rating, so clearly we are doing something right!

Instead of giving in to more FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt), at this event, we got together to discuss and exchange around concrete cyber attack examples, to find inspiration and move further towards readiness.

In this users-only session, we first hear from CMS Belgium about the insights they have gained through years of practical experience with cyber attacks. Then we reviewed the real-life case of a hospital that fell victim to a cyber attack, and the lessons learned.

Afterwards, we had the much-appreciated opportunity to visit the Cyber Experience Center, to experience a ‘successful cyber attack’ – in a safe setting, of course!

A presentation from the event is available to our members after login.
