(Cyber) Security, an international perspective of digitalisation
After another Covid winter, it was clear our members were more than eager to get together at our in-person VIP evening! Every seat was full in the KBC Auditorium, as we all enjoyed top-notch presentations and discussions.
Takeaways from Beltug’s VIP 2022.

Jack Hamande, Director General DG Digital Transformation, FPS BOSA (Policy and Support), laid out the journey of FPS BOSA towards an agile, inclusive and secure digital world for citizens and companies alike. And he shared insight into the digital challenges that FPS BOSA itself faces as an organisation.
We also heard from Miguel De Bruycker, Managing Director of the Centre for Cyber security Belgium (CCB), on what we need for a cyber secure Belgium and how the Centre for Cyber security Belgium (CCB) and Beltug can collaborate to support companies and public institutions in their security challenges.
The third highlight of the evening was an international panel discussion with our President Claude Rapoport (Beltug) and his colleagues from our sister organisations Bernard Duverneuil (Cigref), Arthur Govaert (CIO Platform) and Dr. Hans-Joachim Popp (VOICE) to share their expectations from IT suppliers and cloud providers.
Beltug CEO Danielle Jacobs took the opportunity to announce the joint initiative ’11 fair principles for software providers’ from the four user associations. These principles will be used in our discussions with Belgian and EU regulators and software providers.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed the cocktail and walking dinner, with the chance to connect and network with their peers.
For those who wanted to take part remotely, we also live-streamed the presentations and panel discussion.
The presentations, recording and photos from the event are available for our members (after log in).
