For several years, privacy has been a key factor in many of our decisions: not only in our technology choices, but throughout entire organisations. While it isn’t always easy to comply with all the regulations and to interpret them correctly, this remains an unescapable aspect of our operations, in ICT and beyond.

During this session, we started with a look at the situation in Belgium, with an update from the Belgian DPA chairman. Then we dove into the international aspects, as Deloitte talked us through Schrems II and the recent VTC recommendation to avoid US-based clouds for the long-term storage of public data.
