The hazy shade of the GDPR
In 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) set a mark for privacy rules and laws in Europe. But four years on, organisations continue to face many challenges when it comes to complying with the law. The situation is at times far from static and clear, for instance when it comes to international data transfers.
Presentations from the Beltug N-sight of 29 Nov 2022
29 / 11 / 22
There is certainly plenty to talk about, so in this N-sight, we zoomed in on a few topical elements of the GDPR and how they impact our organisations and operations. First, we looked at international data transfers, with Crowell. Then CRANIUM/RESPONSUM revealed some ‘simple’ questions to ask vendors’ techs, to get the answers you need. We took on GDPR certification schemes, with an introduction to the topic from Partena Professional followed by a panel discussion. And we wrapped up with the results of our recent poll on biometric data.
