Beltug represents business users at Cerre's 'ultrafast broadband' seminar


Ultrafast internet access will be a crucial element of future economic growth and societal development, states Cerre, the Centre on Regulation in Europe. At its Executive Seminar on “Ultrafast Broadband: how to tackle Europe's demand problem?”, Cerre presented its new research paper examining the demand-side policies that can push the transition to ultrafast broadband. The event also brought together digital industry, policy-makers, regulators and experts together to discuss the issue.

Danielle Jacobs, Director Beltug, represented the voice of the business user in a panel discussion that included Frederick De Backer of Telefónica, Wim De Rynck of Proximus, Alberto Di Felice of Qualcomm, Erzsébet Fitori of FTTH Council Europe, Stefan Kramer of the European Commission DG Connect, Jan Krancke of Deutsche Telekom, Marc Lebourges of Orange, Antonio Nicita of AGCOM and Torstein Olsen of Nkom.
