The roll-out of 5G in Belgium has started – finally. Within 3 years, the whole country will benefit from higher speeds, more reliability and lower latency. 5G will indeed be a game changer, but many questions remain. Beltug has put together a Paper with insights from our event ‘From 5G indoor to 5G MEC and back’, which included presentations from the operators painting the technical 5G picture and shared use cases, and discussion by Beltug members.

5G may have a bright future, but it is still very much a ‘work in progress’. Should that stop you from dipping your toe in the water? Not at all, in fact quite the opposite! 5G promises more throughput, with better upload/download flexibility; massive scaling; and greater reliability and quality of service, through vastly improved dedicated bandwidth. But it’s going to take a few years to actually realise these benefits.
