Data architecture: navigating the shifting landscape

Innovation and progress are fuelled today by data, and that means organisations must understand how to design, manage and optimise their data infrastructure. What are the latest trends, challenges and transformative technologies shaping the data landscape? What hurdles do modern data platforms pose? How can responsible data sharing be a strategic advantage? And what drives the evolution of data mesh architecture?

We dove into the dynamic and ever-evolving realm of data architecture. In this session, AE set the scene with a comparison of the modular Modern Data Platform and the single-platform Microsoft Fabric. Then we heard two real-life stories about data sharing, as MPET revealed their approach to the benefits and responsibilities, and publiq described how they are enabling data sharing to open new opportunities in the culture sector.

Presentations are available for Beltug members (after login):

  • AE presentation: Modularity vs user experience – Challenging the Modern Data Platform
  • MPET user story: Dare to share!
  • publiq user story: A data mesh platform for data sharing in the culture sector
